  • Develop, analyze and model operational, economic, management, accounting and other organizational data. Recommends solutions to new and complex problems, develops innovative strategies, quantifies the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets, evaluates the potential impact of changes and reports on economic forecasts that affect the industry. This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. The tasks are generally routine and manual. The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. Typically requires selecting between solutions already established.   • The data science intern will help drive proactive and predictive insights that inform strategic decision-making across the Commercial Excellence organization within the Trauma & Extremities division. The intern will achieve this through hands-on data exploration, advanced analytics, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify trends, forecast business outcomes, and support initiatives across Inventory, PLCM, and Customer Service. By leveraging tools like Python, SQL, and data visualization platforms, the intern will contribute to the development of scalable solutions that enhance business impact and support data-driven strategies.

Majors Targeted: Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology (IT), Information Systems (MIS), Statistics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Finance

What You Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
