Job description

Overview
Are you a strategic, data driven professional who excels at bringing clarity to complex data? As a Sr. Marketing Data Strategist, you will leverage advanced expertise in marketing data analysis, modeling, governance, and enrichment. Your design of scalable data models will strengthen data quality frameworks, and lead enrichment and segmentation strategies that improve targeting, personalization, and prioritization. In this role, you will define and govern marketing data standards, optimize data collection and validation processes, and develop meaningful visualization and reporting tools. In partnership with information systems and technology and enterprise business intelligence teams, you will ensure marketing data is accurate, compliant, and consistently structured across platforms and help drive strategic decision-making across Esri.
Responsibilities
  • Advanced data analysis and modeling. Design and maintain scalable marketing data models that support segmentation, personalization, prioritization, and performance measurement. Apply advanced analytical techniques to analyze campaign performance, identify trends, and inform targeting, investment, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Data quality, enrichment & governance. Embed data enrichment logic, validation frameworks, and standardized quality controls to improve completeness, accuracy, and consistency across systems. Establish and operationalize data governance standards, benchmarks, and monitoring processes to ensure long-term data reliability and enterprise integrity.
  • Data visualization, reporting, & data health monitoring. Develop dashboards and visualizations that communicate marketing performance, segmentation effectiveness, and key data health metrics. Advise on reporting architecture and standards to improve transparency, usability, and stakeholder trust in marketing data.
  • Data governance, data strategy enablement, & process optimization. Partner with digital marketing, technology, and legal/privacy teams to ensure audience strategies are supported by compliant, standardized, high-quality data. Identify and resolve systemic data challenges and establish benchmarks to drive repeatable best practices that improve targeting precision and overall data maturity, including data transformations, normalization, and enrichment practices that support long-term sustainability.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing data, analytics, data strategy, or related fields
  • Strong expertise in data models, segmentation strategy, data quality, governance, and enrichment practices
  • Experience partnering with Legal and Privacy teams on data usage, consent, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced experience working across CRM, marketing automation platforms, CDPs, and BI tools
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze and validate complex datasets
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable frameworks rather than one-off solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data science, information systems, or a related field
  • Occasional travel may be required (up to ~20%); travel needs may vary based on business requirements
