Job description

Primary Purpose

To experience Mountaire's culture first-hand and provide additional exposure of Mountaire's family-oriented work environment. The intern will support Mountaire's transition of packaging formula governance from Salesforce to Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) as part of the Point of Create initiative. Working closely with Master Data, IT, and business stakeholders, the intern will help centralize packaging formula creation and maintenance within Informatica, supporting a single source of truth for packaging data. The intern will participate in data migration, validation, governance documentation, testing, and process improvement activities that improve data quality, visibility, and governance across the enterprise.  

Project Highlights

  • Accelerates readiness activities supporting the Informatica Point-of-Create initiative.
  • Enhances project documentation, governance materials, testing artifacts, and training resources.
  • Improves visibility into data quality, migration readiness, and process improvement opportunities. 
  • Expands organizational capacity to support critical project activities while maintaining day-to-day operations.
  • Develops a pipeline of emerging talent with experience in enterprise data management and business transformation.    

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university (Pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field preferred).
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Must pass the Mountaire Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn Informatica, Oracle Fusion, and Salesforce workflows. 
  • Strong interest in data management, data governance, business process improvement, and enterprise technology.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate information, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document processes and present findings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a project-oriented environment.    

Internship Program Requirements

  • Complete assigned project identified by department mentor
  • Attend weekly seminar series across different Mountaire facilities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • All interns must be available to travel to Delaware during the last week of the program for final presentations (August 2 - 6, 2027)
  • All interns are required to complete a 10-minute presentation on their project at the conclusion of summer. Presentations will take place in Millsboro, DE at the Administrative Building during the week of August 2-6.
  • All interns must complete a mid-way evaluation (week 5) along with a final evaluation (week 10)
  • Anticipated weekly schedule for this internship is M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
