Job description

The Senior Manager, Data Science provides leadership to professional staff focused on a narrow range of work within a function (i.e., a job family). Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams, identifies and addresses complex technical, operational and/or organization challenges, and makes decisions guided by resource availability and functional objectives. Develops and implements tactical operational plans that align with business objectives.

This position is required onsite 4 days per week, typically Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities
  • Set annual goals for the team and execute; goals are the primary driver of BU/COE unit deliverables.
  • Delegate resource assignment to managers and implement processes to ensure the right resources are assigned to the highest priority tasks; handle prioritization and business case creation.
  • Strategically manage deliverables required from key functional units and produce annual roadmaps with partners.
  • Lead and manage the team across multiple domains.
  • Drive key strategy for the team, ensuring the team strategy informs Inspire Brands strategic direction (Growth Playbook).
Education & Experience

Minimum requirements: Masterโ€™s degree in a STEM field with 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred: Masterโ€™s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant work experience and experience managing multiple individual contributors.

  • Ability to manage stakeholders, think strategically, and coach, mentor, and manage highly technical fullโ€‘time employees.
