Thatcher Chemical Company is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Oil and Gas Industry Account Manager to help accelerate our growth in the Oil & Gas Refining market segment. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a sales professional who thrives on financial performance, building new relationships, delivering tailored solutions, and driving revenue growth in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, grow, and manage refinery accounts—expanding relationships beyond commodity chemistry into specialty applications and value-added solutions.
• Identify, pursue, and win new customers through proven sales, marketing, and relationship-building practices.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to refinery customers by diagnosing operational challenges, presenting customized solutions, and leveraging Thatcher’s broad product portfolio and resources.
• Represent Thatcher Company with professionalism and integrity, demonstrating expert knowledge of our products and the advantages we bring to our refinery customers.
• Collaborate internally to uncover and expand opportunities for supplier partnerships, technical innovation, and customer value creation.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of high-performance chemical sales into Refinery and Gas Plant applications.
• Strong technical background and established history with the ability to understand, communicate, and diagnose chemistry needs in Refinery and Gas Plant applications.

• The correct candidate will be able to help the organization understand what technical and operational support is needed to grow and chemical build business in Refinery and Gas Plant applications.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing new business.
• Self-starter who thrives in an independent, performance-driven environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel to refinery sites and customer locations.
• AA/BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Technical Sales, or related field.
