Job description

Flight Test Manufacturing Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

Company:

The Boeing Company

The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Flight Test Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. The selected candidate will be responsible for the creation of Fabrication Planning and Installation Planning, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Boeing), interface with procurement team, and tracking of parts after procurement. These efforts are to support the Flight Testing of multiple programs.

Our team are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Flight Test Manufacturing Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production engineering methodologies

  • Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines

  • Develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build

  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans

  • Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements

  • Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices

  • Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions

  • Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule

  • Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems

  • Implement lean principles and technologies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 2+ years of experience working with a GOLD Uniface/GOLDesp application computing system

  • 2+ years of experience managing a Bill of Material (BOM)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience reviewing engineering requirements / drawings and providing manufacturability and producibility feedback

  • Experience with GOLDesp or similar Manufacturing Execution System

  • Experience establishing "make / buy" plans to fabricate or purchase aircraft electrical components and wire bundles

  • Experience with Authoring and Updating Electrical Installations and Modifications Shop Floor Work Instructions

  • Top Secret Security Clearance (SAP).
