Job description

Overview
Warehouse Associate executes GDP/cGMP material handling activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient flow of raw materials, components, intermediates, and finished goods. Responsibilities include receiving, put-away, inventory control, kitting/issuance to production, sampling support, and shipping, including cold chain, while maintaining accurate ERP/WMS transactions and audit-ready documentation.
Responsibilities
Safety, quality & Compliance
  • Follow all EHS, OSHA, DOT, IATA (as applicable), cGMP, and GDP requirements; wear required PPE and maintain 5S standards.
  • Adhere to gowning/entry procedures for controlled areas; safeguard data integrity (ALCOA+).
  • Execute and document work per SOPs, work instructions, and batch/receipt records; escalate deviations or atypical events.
Receiving
  • Verify deliveries against POs/COAs; inspect packaging/labels, record temperature data, and stage to Quarantine.
  • Perform ERP/WMS receipts, generate labels/status tags, and complete put-away to designated temperature-controlled locations.
  • Stage materials for QC sampling; maintain the chain of custody and the cleanliness of sampling rooms/booths.
  • Coordinate with QA for status updates and move released/rejected products according to procedures.
  • Pick materials FEFO/expiry-controlled; perform line clearances and kit components for Manufacturing/Packaging.
  • Deliver materials to cleanrooms/docks while maintaining segregation of statuses and accurate transactions.
  • Pack, label, and prepare GDP-compliant shipments (parcel/LTL/FTL/courier; ambient and cold-chain).
  • Use dataloggers/indicators and complete documentation (BOL, commercial invoice, SDS, temp logs) as required
Continuous Improvement & Teamwork
  • Meet daily KPI targets (accuracy, dock-to-stock, OTIF); identify waste and suggest improvements (5S/lean).
  • Participate in deviation investigations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with QA, QC, Manufacturing, MSAT/Engineering, Planning/Procurement, and EHS.

Equipment Operation
  • Operate Pallet jacks, Forklifts, Turret trucks, and other material-handling equipment (training provided)
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report issues promptly.
  • Support calibration and preventative maintenance scheduling

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate/technical coursework a plus.
  • 1-3 years of warehouse/logistics experience; pharma/biotech, medical device, food, or other regulated industry preferred. (GMP)
  • Experience with cold-chain materials and scanners/barcoding preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and organized; strong communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to follow procedures, prioritize tasks, and escalate issues promptly.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP/GDP and basic documentation practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS (SAP/Oracle/Microsoft) and handheld scanners; basic Excel/data entry.
  • Familiarity with FEFO, lot/serial control, and temperature-controlled storage.
  • DOT/IATA awareness and hazmat packaging/labeling basics.
  • Inventory & Picking Accuracy ≥ 99%
  • Dock-to-Stock Time (Released materials)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  • Stand/walk for extended periods (8-12-hour shifts); lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in controlled environments; wear PPE (gowning, gloves, safety glasses, face coverings, hearing protection as applicable).
  • Exposure to chemicals, sanitizers/disinfectants, and routine noise levels within regulated limits
