To thrive in a Data Returnship, you typically need foundational skills in data analysis, statistics, and a relevant educational background such as a degree in mathematics, computer science, or a related field. Familiarity with technical tools like SQL, Excel, Python or R, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is commonly expected. These skills are crucial for efficiently interpreting data, deriving actionable insights, and integrating smoothly into data-driven teams.

What types of projects or tasks can participants expect to work on during a Data Returnship program?

During a Data Returnship, participants typically engage in hands-on projects that mirror the real-world responsibilities of data analysts or data scientists. This may include cleaning and organizing large datasets, conducting exploratory data analysis, creating data visualizations, and developing predictive models under the guidance of experienced mentors. Returnees often collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, product, and business analytics, which helps them refresh both technical and soft skills. These experiences not only rebuild confidence after a career break but also provide exposure to current tools and industry best practices.
