Job description

Position Information
Job Title Chemistry Research Assistant - Department of Chemistry - Student Worker Only Department Chemistry Essential Functions
Assist with research activities in the chemistry/nanotechnology laboratory, including nanoparticle synthesis, sample preparation, data collection, materials characterization, literature review, manuscript writing, preparation of figures and reports, and maintaining laboratory organization and safety protocols. Support undergraduate students and faculty in ongoing research projects related to nanomaterials, biosensors, biomedical applications, and/or computational work, including machine learning, with the goal of contributing to publications and presentations.
Work Schedule Monday-Friday, up to 20 hours per week Additional Duties
Assist with preparation of presentations, manuscripts, inventory management, and general laboratory maintenance. Participate in group meetings and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Interest in chemistry, nanotechnology, biomedical research or computational work and/or machine learning.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling nanoparticles, preparing chemical solutions, performing laboratory experiments, or working with analytical instrumentation.
Background in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or experience running computational work and/or machine learning. or related fields preferred.
