About the Role: Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to manage and oversee the daily operations of our data reporting, analytics workflows, and BI deployment pipelines. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our data science teams, software engineering groups, and cloud infrastructure partners, ensuring that all dashboards and reporting systems are developed with maximum efficiency, scalability, and adherence to strict data governance and security regulations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Data Lifecycle Management: Coordinate daily BI activities, including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), dashboard creation, and automated reporting schedules.
  • Regulatory & Governance Compliance: Maintain comprehensive data documentation and version control; ensure all reporting activities align with data privacy laws (GDPR/CCPA), governance frameworks, and company SOPs.
  • Data Integrity: Perform accurate data validation and metrics modeling; ensure "ALCOA+" principles are applied to reporting datasets and data pipeline execution logs.
  • Risk Mitigation: Monitor data pipeline failures, query performance, and reporting bottlenecks; report significant performance degradation or system non-compliance promptly to management and stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Author and maintain BI technical specifications; assist in internal and external audits to ensure GxP (where applicable) and ISO quality standards for automated analytics systems are met.
  • Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for cloud service providers, database hosts, and third-party BI platform vendors during performance reviews and technical audits.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field (Required).
  • Experience: 0โ€“5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, software development, or data engineering environments.
  • Technical Skills (Required):
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional data modeling.
  • Proficiency in query languages (SQL) and programming/scripting tools (Python, R).
  • Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
