Position: Senior Data Analyst

Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716

Duties: Data Source Identification: Supports understanding of priority order of requirements/service level agreements; identifies suitable source for data that is fit for purpose; performs initial data quality checks on extracted data. Data Strategy: Understands/articulates/applies principles of defined strategy to routine business problems involving a single function. Understanding Business Context: Provides recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues; develops business cases for projects with a projected return on investment/cost savings; translates business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks and aligns to overall business strategy and develops domain specific artifact; serves as interpreter/conduit to connect business needs w/tangible solutions/results; identifies/recommends business insights. Tech. Problem Formulation: Translates/co-owns business problems within one's discipline to data related/mathematical solutions; identifies appropriate methods/tools to be leveraged; shares use cases and gives examples to demonstrate how method would solve business problem. Data Visualization: Generates graphical representations of data and model outcomes; designs data representation for multiple data sets; works w/User Experience designers and User Interface engineers to build front end applications; presents to/influences team and business audience using data visualization frameworks and conveys clear messages through business and stakeholder understanding; guides/mentors junior associates on story types, structures, and techniques based on context. Data Quality Management: Promotes/educates on data quality awareness; profiles/analyzes/assesses data quality; tests/validates data quality requirements; measures/monitors data quality; delivers against data quality service level agreements; manages operational Data Quality Management procedures; manages data quality issues and leads data cleansing activities to remove data quality defects, improve data quality, and eliminate unused data; determines user accessibility and removes or restricts user access; interprets company/regulatory policies on data; educates on data governance processes, practices, policies, and guidelines. Exploratory Data Analysis: Collects/tabulates data and evaluates results to determine accuracy, validity, and applicability; supports identification and application of statistical techniques; applies suitable technique under direction from leadership; assists in planning/design/implementation of exploratory data analysis research projects; understands existing statistical models and identifies and recommends statistical models based on hypothesis; uses advanced Knowledge in Data Discovery tools to write queries and analyze data to identify patterns, trends, outliers, and correlations; conducts statistical analysis and builds basic statistical models using relevant packages/software suites.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Coding in Python or R or SAS for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and analytical workflows; Querying and transforming relational databases using SQL, including joins, filters, aggregations, and preparing datasets; Developing dashboards or visual reports using Tableau, Spotfire, or Power BI; Creating analytical/statistical models to translate raw data into actionable insights that support decision-making; Using Excel Data Analysis functions for modeling, exploratory analysis, and ad-hoc reporting; Translating functional business requirements into analytical tasks or technical specifications for data extraction and modeling; Applying core principles of data management, including data quality standards, governance policies, accessibility, and fundamental security practices, to support data analysis; Applying statistical methods and using ML libraries/frameworks within Python, R, or SAS to support analytical solutions; Working with data warehouses or processing frameworks (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop) to extract and prepare data for analysis. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Rate of pay: $94,557.00 - 155,000.00/year
