Job description

About Custom Platforms

Custom Platforms is the engineering team at Csquare responsible for the customer portals, internal tools, and infrastructure behind our data center customer experience. The team works closely with product, sales, and customer-facing groups.

With the recent expansion of our scope to include the platform engineering function for our stack, we're hiring a Sr. Platform Engineer to anchor that capability and partner with our application engineers as we scale.

About the role

You'll own the cloud infrastructure that runs Custom Platforms, set the standards for how we build and deploy, partner with application engineers on system design, and act as the senior technical voice on infrastructure decisions.

The infrastructure already exists in production. The role is about owning and evolving it, setting standards as the team grows, and helping define what platform engineering looks like at Csquare.

What you'll do
  • Own the cloud infrastructure for the Custom Platforms stack on Azure: provisioning, scaling, networking, security, and observability.
  • Lead the build and deployment pipelines. Define CI/CD standards, improve release velocity, and reduce friction for application engineers.
  • Set technical direction for reliability, performance, and operations.
  • Partner with application engineers on architecture decisions, especially where application and infrastructure meet.
  • Mentor teammates through technical guidance, code review, and pairing.
  • Run incident response and post-mortems. Capture lessons and ship the fixes.
  • Shape platform strategy as our customer-facing capabilities grow.
What you'll bring
  • 6+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles operating production systems.
  • Deep Azure experience. You've designed, deployed, and operated Azure-native systems at meaningful scale. (Azure certification is a plus.)
  • CI/CD pipeline experience with GitLab CI, including GitOps continuous delivery with ArgoCD.
  • Kubernetes operations. Comfort with Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters in production, Helm-based deployments, and container registries (Harbor or equivalent).
  • Observability skills. Strong instincts for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting. Familiarity with OpenTelemetry is a plus; Csquare is in the early stages of adopting it.
  • Strong communication. You can explain technical trade-offs clearly to engineers who don't live in infrastructure.
Nice to have
  • Prior experience standing up or significantly improving a platform engineering function.
  • Background in customer-facing SaaS, infrastructure, or data center adjacent businesses.
  • Familiarity with the Azure services we use heavily: Service Bus, CosmosDB, Event Hubs.
  • LogicMonitor experience for infrastructure monitoring.
  • Experience contributing to security and compliance posture in cloud environments.
  • Experience migrating Azure hosts between Microsoft Tenants.
  • AngularJS experience working with web applications

This employer will not sponsor visas for this role.
