Position Overview

Candidate would need exceptional experience in Python programming (Strong), configuration/management tools such as Gitlab, containerization tools such as Docker and deep expertise with microservices / container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes), orchestration and automation. Critical to possess experience with designing and implementing AWS Cloud-based hosting solutions, as well as Cloudbased backup and recovery, including failover zones. Familiar with best practices in billing and accounting with AWS to minimize oversubscription of services and the AWS cloud environment at NGA. Other skills to include: automated testing, automated deployments (CI/CD pipelines), and branching strategy and implementation.
 
Required Skills:  
5+ years of experience developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
Experience in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Python or Golang
Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
Experience working with application development teams across the software development life cycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
Experience hosting applications on commercial cloud providers 
Experience with Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Pulumi
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph (willing to take CI Poly)
Bachelor's degree in CS or Computer Engineering
 
Desired Skills
Experience managing and maintaining ElasticSearch and Kibana
Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
