Job description

The Network Operations Manager is responsible for leading the hospital's network infrastructure, data center, and cloud operations while managing a team of network professionals. This role partners closely with Information Systems leadership, technical teams, hospital departments, physicians, and vendors to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions that support the organization's mission.
The Network Operations Manager oversees strategic planning, infrastructure projects, operational support, disaster recovery planning, and technology lifecycle management. This leader is passionate about continuous improvement, embraces change, and is committed to delivering innovative technology solutions that enhance healthcare operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in Computer Science preferred.
  • Ongoing professional development in Information Systems technology preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a business or hospital Information Systems environment.
  • Experience with vendor management and technology purchasing preferred.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, federal regulations, and disaster recovery planning preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the Network Operations team, including Network Systems Administrators, Network Messaging Administrators, and Data Communications Administrators.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the organization's data center and cloud environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure capacity meets current and future organizational needs for storage, processing power, and connectivity.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee network, hardware, software, cloud, and infrastructure projects from implementation through ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, technical teams, vendors, and hospital staff to deliver effective technology solutions.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance technology services.
  • Coordinate software and hardware implementation, optimization, training, communication, and long-term support planning.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals and business needs.
  • Assist Information Systems leadership with annual budgeting for infrastructure, software, hardware, networking, and special projects.
  • Manage regular maintenance activities for on-premises, off-site, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of Information Systems assets.
  • Ensure timely support and communication related to network, data center, and cloud services.
  • Research technology solutions and recommend products and vendors for purchasing and budgeting.
  • Maintain documentation for maintenance agreements and project status within the Help Desk system.
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly update the Information Systems disaster recovery plan.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and applicable federal regulations.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, coach, and evaluate Network Operations team members.

Pay Range:

  • $102,128 - $151,000
