Job Description

The Head of Data Management is responsible for the strategic and operational management of company-wide data management with a focus on data governance, organizational frameworks, and sustainable data maintenance. The aim is to ensure data quality and availability as a basis for business decisions, taking into account regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Data governance & organization

  • Establishing and maintaining roles, responsibilities, and processes in data management
  • Establishing and further developing guidelines for data quality, security, and use

2. Data maintenance & quality assurance

  • Defining and monitoring KPIs for data quality
  • Managing initiatives for data cleansing and harmonization
  • Maintaining and introducing new master data guidelines
  • Supporting the introduction of data maintenance processes in operational systems

3. Interface management

  • Collaborating with specialist departments, data protection and data security to ensure consistent data standards in a highly dynamic environment
  • Coordinating external partners in data-related projects
  • Supporting the selection and introduction of data maintenance tools
Qualifications

Technical:

  • Degree in information management, computer science, economics, or similar
  • Several years of experience in data management, ideally in a consulting or project-oriented environment
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, master data management, and organizational development
  • Technical understanding of data architecture, databases, and interfaces
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards, TISAX)

Personal:

  • Strong communication and moderation skills
  • Structured and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to convey complex relationships in an understandable way
  • High level of initiative and sense of responsibility
  • Very good German and English skills (C1) - THIS IS A MUST
