Job description

Vending Operations Specialist

Worcester, MA

Full-Time | Monday–Friday

At I.T. Vending Express, we believe great businesses aren’t built by standing still.

Every day is an opportunity to improve a product, strengthen a customer relationship,

streamline a process, or discover a better way of doing things.

That’s the mindset we’re looking for.

We operate hundreds of vending locations throughout Central Massachusetts. Each

location has different customers, different buying habits, and different opportunities. Our

success comes from understanding those differences and making smart decisions that

improve the customer experience while growing our business.

This isn’t a traditional office position.

You’ll help decide what products we sell, build relationships with our vendors, analyze

sales trends, improve profitability, optimize inventory, implement new ideas, and help

shape the future of our company.

If you enjoy solving problems, learning new technology, taking ownership, and seeing

the direct impact of your work, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Own

This position is about ownership—not simply completing tasks.

Product Strategy & Merchandising

● Optimize product selection using sales data and customer buying trends.

● Introduce new products and seasonal offerings.

● Create and maintain machine layouts and planograms.

● Improve merchandising, pricing, and product performance.

● Keep our product mix fresh, relevant, and profitable.

Purchasing & Vendor Partnerships

● Manage weekly purchasing from vendors including Vistar, Coke, Pepsi, Polar,

Atlas, and other supplier partners.

● Build strong relationships with brokers, manufacturer representatives, and vendor

partners.

● Manage rebate programs, promotions, and purchasing opportunities that

maximize company savings.

● Research new products and negotiate opportunities that benefit our customers

and business.

Business Analytics & Technology

● Use technology and data to improve operational performance.

● Monitor sales trends, inventory, pricing, waste, and machine performance.

● Become proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other industry

software.

● Recommend improvements that increase efficiency and profitability.

Operations & Continuous Improvement

● Support route drivers, warehouse staff, technicians, and leadership.

● Maintain accurate customer, machine, product, and location information.

● Assist with route optimization, new account implementation, and operational

projects.

● Update Standard Operating Procedures and training materials.

● Continuously look for ways to improve processes across the organization.

You’ll Thrive Here If You...

● Naturally ask, “How can we make this better?”

● Enjoy solving problems and finding practical solutions.

● Like working with technology and learning new systems.

● Love organizing information and keeping things accurate.

● Enjoy working with numbers, reports, and data.

● Build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

● Take initiative without waiting to be asked.

● Want your work to have a measurable impact.

What We’re Looking For

● Strong organizational and time management skills.

● Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

● Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

● Strong computer skills with experience using Google Workspace, Microsoft 365,

and industry-specific software. Comfortable learning new technologies and

efficiently working across multiple software platforms.

● Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to

detail.

● Experience in purchasing, merchandising, inventory management, retail

operations, logistics, or customer service is preferred, but we are willing to train

someone with the right attitude, curiosity, and work ethic.

What Success Looks Like

After your first year, you’ll have:

● Become the go-to expert on our products, vendors, and business systems.

● Built strong relationships with supplier partners and broker representatives.

● Improved product performance through smarter purchasing and merchandising

decisions.

● Helped increase profitability by identifying opportunities through data and

analysis.

● Contributed ideas that improved the way we operate.

● Earned the trust of your teammates by taking ownership and delivering results.

Why Join IT Vending Express?

We’re a growing, locally family-owned company where your ideas matter.

We believe in continuous improvement, doing the right thing, supporting one another,

and giving people the opportunity to grow.

If you’re looking for a career where you can make an impact, continue learning, and

help build something you’re proud of, we’d love to hear from you.
