Job description:  This is a 100% travel position.   You will be required to travel to multiple states

Nomad Mobile Technologies LLC is a Telematics Installation company. We install technologies such as Dashcams, DVR camera systems, GPS, electronic logbooks and many other forms of technologies needed to operate large fleets that are on the roads daily. We travel all over the U.S and stay on the road 100% of the time. Accommodations are covered by Nomad during your time on the road. Gas receipts are reimbursed as well as common maintenance to your vehicle.
We are actively seeking a Mobile Telematics Technician to join our team. As a Telematics Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telematics systems in various vehicles. This position requires a strong understanding of 12-volt DC systems, including the ability to identify power, ground, and ignition wires accurately. Proficiency in using a multimeter and working under the dashes of vehicles is essential. Additionally, experience in mechanics or electrical work is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Install telematics systems in vehicles, ensuring proper wiring and connections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the telematics systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose and address electrical problems.
- Use diagnostic tools, including multimeters, to analyze and interpret system data.
- Keep accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in telematics technology.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support.
- Must be able to lift 20lbs daily
- Sometimes must be able to work off 6-8ft ladders
- Must be available to travel 100% of the time
Here is are preferred experience. Although we provide hands on training.
Preferred Experience
- Reliable vehicle
- Cell phone or Tablet
- Strong knowledge and experience with 12-volt DC systems.
- Ability to identify power, ground, and ignition wires accurately.
- Proficiency in using multi-meters and other diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with working under the dashes of vehicles.
- Mechanical or electrical experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be available to work overnight shifts
Compensation and Benefits:
- Gas and standard vehicle maintenance reimbursed
- Room and Board accommodations are covered
- The starting salary for this position is $1050 per week ($700 a week for the first 1-2 weeks, depends on how fast you meet training quota per the contract)  or if you are willing to relocate, it will be $1850 first 4 weeks then $1250 a week after that)
