Position: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Data Migration Senior Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Automation and Data Migration Application Engineers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation and data migration from CAD, ERP, other PLM systems, and network drives to Teamcenter, be personable and a natural helper with a customer service minded philosophy, thrive in a fast-paced and learning-intensive environment, get a rush from solving challenging problems that other people cannot, and deliver solutions graciously over the phone or in person. Comfortable working autonomously, the candidate wants to see the team succeed and gets satisfaction from knowing that he or she played a critical role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create scripts for automation and data migration
  • Perform and support data migration to PLM projects from multiple sources including other PLM, CAD, eCAD, and ERP systems.
  • Be able to script necessary utilities to aid the migration process
  • Provide higher-level technical support to extend our customers' abilities to apply Teamcenter solutions to meet design challenges
  • Perform pre/post sales customer support including software demonstrations
  • Work closely with clients to analyze their current data sets and map data migration for PLM solutions effectively
  • A working knowledge and understanding of all data migration techniques (ips_upload, tcxml, and other tools)
  • Develop a foundational knowledge of the standards and regulatory requirements which affect the design and manufacture of products
  • Contribute to future software releases by prioritizing known product defects and communicate customer feedback to Siemens' product development teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of PLM strategies
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in PLM
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of our PLM data migration offerings based on customer feedback
  • Gain further knowledge of CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM solutions and market needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or Computer Information Technology
  • 5 years experience scripting and automation
  • Custom scripting proficiency with Python and .NET is a must
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes and product development cycles
  • Experience with engineering tools like CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder for ITAR related work
