Job Description

Data Architect- Role Overview: Serve as the primary client-facing data strategy leader. You will define the North Star data architecture to transition from mainframe systems to a modern, scalable AWS and Databricks ecosystem.-

Key Responsibilities:-

Lead architecture alignment workshops with business and IT stakeholders to validate modernization priorities.
Design the “Analytics Hub” blueprint, transitioning legacy Cognos reporting to AWS Aurora, Redshift, Quick Sight, and Power BI..
Define the Change Data Capture (CDC) bridge strategy to sync Mainframe DB2 to AWS cloud-native databases without disrupting operations.-
Establish data domain boundaries, access models, and governance strategies (Zero Trust data masking for PII).

Required Skills:-

Expertise in the AWS Data ecosystem (S3, Redshift, RDS/Aurora, DMS, Kinesis).
Deep knowledge of Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
Experience in Mainframe-to-Cloud modernization, specifically DB2 decoupling and CDC methodologies.- AI Augmentation/Vibe Coding knowledge required- Agentic AI experience is good to have.
