Job description

Position Summary

Ergon is seeking a strategic and collaborative Manager, Data, Reporting & AI to lead ESS's reporting, master data, and AI enablement efforts. This role is responsible for building trusted business data, delivering actionable analytics, strengthening data governance, and identifying practical AI opportunities that improve decision-making, productivity, and business performance.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of business acumen, technical depth, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT. This position plays a key role in helping ESS improve operational efficiency, support exceptional customer service, and drive continuous improvement through better use of data and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of ESS's data, reporting, master data, and AI strategy.
  • Deliver trusted reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support business decision-making and operational performance.
  • Establish and maintain data governance standards, reporting definitions, and master data ownership.
  • Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and process efficiency across business functions.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT to align reporting and data priorities with business needs.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity and business insights.
  • Manage reporting and data teams while developing talent and supporting cross-functional project work.
  • Promote adoption of reporting tools, data governance practices, and AI capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Support business process analysis, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in data, reporting, business intelligence, analytics, or digital transformation.
  • Experience leading professional employees or significant cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working in ERP environments, preferably SAP S/4.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or a comparable enterprise BI platform.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis, master data management, and data governance principles.
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority and work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Strong customer service mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience implementing reporting governance or master data improvements.
  • Experience evaluating or deploying AI-enabled business solutions.
  • Experience with ERP reporting and data architecture.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, or other enterprise AI platforms.
  • Background in project management, change management, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading teams responsible for reporting, analytics, or data management.
