The Data Management Specialist will support the management, administration, and optimization of the company s data infrastructure, with a focus on cloud services, database management, data analysis, and reporting solutions. This role involves hands-on work with Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, and Apache Tomcat as well as utilizing R Studio and Data Bricks for data analysis and modeling. The position requires technical proficiency and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on various data-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support Azure cloud resources, including Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, and Azure Data Lake, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
Manage and configure Azure-based solutions for data storage, security, and access control.
Implement automation scripts for managing and provisioning Azure resources using Azure CLI and PowerShell.
Monitor and optimize SQL Server instances for efficiency and reliability.
Perform database backups, restore operations, and ensure database integrity.
Assist with migrations and upgrades of SQL Server environments to cloud-based platforms (Azure SQL).
Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications using Apache Tomcat.
Ensure Apache Tomcat servers are running optimally and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Contribute to the development of Data Bricks pipelines, helping to implement data transformation and data engineering processes.
Work with data teams to build scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Azure Databricks.
Create and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to business teams.
Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting needs and design intuitive visualizations that help with data-driven decision-making.
Use R Studio for data analysis, statistical modeling, and generating insights from large datasets.
Work with the data science team to build predictive models and statistical reports that meet business needs.
Document processes, workflows, and configurations to ensure consistent and effective data management practices.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience working in data management, with hands-on experience in Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, Apache Tomcat, R Studio, and Data Bricks.
Proficient in Azure Administration, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Data Lake.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server Database Administration, including performance tuning, backups, and restores.
Experience working with Apache Tomcat for application deployments and integration.
Practical experience with Power BI for report creation, dashboards, and data visualization.
Proficiency in R Studio for data analysis and statistical modeling.
Basic experience with Azure Databricks for data engineering and big data processing workflows.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data management issues effectively.
Strong teamwork abilities, with the capacity to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:
Experience with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) in data management projects.
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for script-based management of data resources.
Knowledge of Data Governance principles and best practices.
Experience with data migration and cloud-based database management (particularly moving SQL Server databases to Azure SQL).
Microsoft Certifications in Azure, Power BI, or SQL Server are a plus.
