Job description

Director, Product Management - Security & Data Intelligence Solutions

Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry.

About the Team & Role

At Capital One, we believe that security and data intelligence are not just defensive measuresโ€”they are competitive advantages. As the Director, Security & Data Intelligence Solution Leader, you will be the visionary architect for one of our most critical solution domains. You are responsible for defining key network solutions for how we protect our customers and leverage data-driven insights to create value added services for our customers. This is not a maintenance role; you will lead the transformation of complex security requirements into scalable, intelligent technology solutions that empower the Global Payment Network. This isn't a role for a caretaker. This is a role for a transformative leader who views security not as a barrier, but as a product feature. You will lead the charge in defining solutions for the Global Payment Network through advanced Authentication, Fraud Prevention, and Risk Mitigation, while simultaneously leveraging our massive data sets to build Value-Added Services (VAS) that redefine the payment experience.

As the Solution Domain Leader, you are responsible for defining solutions to bridge the gap between impenetrable security and seamless customer experience, ensuring that every transaction across our global network is authenticated, secured, and enriched with data-driven value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Security Solutions: Define solutions for the Global Payment Network, focusing on resilient architecture that anticipates emerging threats in real-time.
  • Next-Gen Authentication: Lead solutions for multi-factor, biometric, and behavioral authentication solutions that eliminate friction while maximizing security.
  • Fraud & Risk Intelligence: Design intelligent solutions that identify and neutralize sophisticated fraud patterns before they impact the ledger.
  • Value-Added Product Innovation: Define new ways to transform raw network data into actionable products- such as real-time spend insights, identity verification services, and loyalty-driving data tools-that provide tangible value to our customers.
  • Scalable Engineering Oversight: Partner with platform product teams and engineering teams to ensure that complex security requirements are translated into scalable code that can handle global transaction volumes.
Capital One Product Framework

In this role, youโ€™ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:

  • Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions
  • Business Focused - Delivers game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence
  • Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value
  • Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks
  • Transformational Leadership - Leads cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 5 years of Product Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
