Quality Inspector

Aerospace Innovations – Hialeah, Fl

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (In-Shop)

Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector is directly responsible to the Quality Manager for overall inspection on aircraft engine accessories in accordance with 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and current technical data. This role executes incoming, hidden damage, preliminary, in-process, and final inspections, verifies tool calibration, ensures regulatory compliance, and oversees article identification. The inspector holds return-to-service authority and may be assigned to perform field maintenance work at off-location sites.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform incoming, hidden damage, preliminary, in-process, and final inspections on aviation articles in accordance with manual procedures and current technical data (including manufacturer ICAs, service bulletins, service letters, standard practice manuals, and airworthiness directives).

· Inspect contractor work and technical records to determine airworthiness.

· Review all preceding work orders, parts lists, inspection reports, photos, part numbers, and serial numbers during final inspection and prior to return to service approval.

· Ensure all inspection tools, equipment, and visual aids are in proper working order with valid calibration stickers affixed.

· Oversee proper identification of all articles per the manual, maintaining full understanding of the repair station's certificate limitations and OpSpecs.

· Perform field maintenance work carrying return-to-service authority at off-location sites when assigned by the Quality Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Must be thoroughly familiar with applicable 14 CFR Part 145 regulations, as well as inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine airworthiness.

· Must be proficient in using various inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the articles being inspected.

· Must understand current manufacturer specifications, inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures for articles being inspected.

· Must be able to understand, read, and write English.

· Must be appropriately certificated under 14 CFR Part 65 (A&P) or have 3+ years of experience working as an inspector.
