Job description

The Manager-IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing four data centers across multiple geographical locations, with a focus on maximizing performance, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining exceptional uptime for our physical and virtual server environments. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a talented team of network and storage engineers within a multinational corporation, ensuring our critical systems are always prepared and resilient.
Location: Camden, NJ
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of four data centers, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
  • Lead a team of experienced network and storage engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Implement and enforce IT infrastructure policies and procedures across all data centers.
  • Continuously monitor infrastructure performance, identify resource bottlenecks, and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
  • Analyze trends in data center resource utilization and proactively plan for future capacity needs.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning and execution, including regular testing of backup and data replication systems
  • Collaborate with IT Security teams to ensure the highest level of data security and regulatory compliance within the data centers, including ISO-27001, NNPI and CMMC.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement within the data centers, including automation and infrastructure lifecycle management in accordance with Asset Management Procedures.
  • Prepare and manage data center budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven track record of success in a data center environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center operations, including physical and virtual server infrastructure, storage area networks (SANs), and network protocols.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning, data backup, and replication best practices.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of IT professionals.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

Proficient in data center monitoring tools and infrastructure management software.
