Job description

AAA Club Alliance is currently seeking a Managing Director of Enterprise Data and Integration to join our team in Wilmington, DE.

The Managing Director of Enterprise Data and Integration provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the organization's enterprise data, analytics, governance, and application integration capabilities. In this role, you will establish and execute the enterprise data architecture and roadmap; modernizes platforms and integration services, strengthens data quality, security, and governance.

This is a Hybrid position reporting into Wilmington, DE office 3 days per week.

Competitive annual salary; the starting base compensation for this position is: $200,000 to $250,000. The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

The primary duties of the role are:

Data Architecture & Analytics Infrastructure

  • Direct the strategy, design, and operations of our modern cloud data lakes and data warehousing environments.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of our Customer Data Platform (CDP) to deliver unified, 360-degree customer views to optimize the real-time customer experience and associated marketing customer journeys.
  • Partner with business units to deliver robust business intelligence (BI), reporting tools, and predictive analytics capabilities.

Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)

  • Spearhead the transition to and maturity of real-time application integrations utilizing event-driven services in a pub-sub model.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and low-latency data flows across all core enterprise systems and third-party applications.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise-wide API standards and integration frameworks to accelerate digital transformation.

Data Governance & Master Data Management (MDM)

  • Define and execute a comprehensive Master Data Management (MDM) strategy to ensure "one source of truth" for core business entities.
  • Establish enterprise data governance policies, standards, and data-stewardship programs.
  • Partner with the cybersecurity team to enforce strict data privacy, security controls, and regulatory compliance

Core Enterprise Data Delivery Operating Models

  • Define and execute processes to effectively gather new demands from assorted business partners, track the backlog, and prioritize those inputs appropriately. Drive effective communications regarding the status of demands and where they sit in a holistic roadmap.
  • Establish requirements, data modeling, source data analysis, integration design, development, and rigorous end to end and user acceptance testing frameworks in an agile methodology. Drive consistency in quality delivery by both internal and consulting teams.

Executive Leadership & People Management

  • Mentor and scale a talented, multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, architects, and governance specialists.
  • Collaborate with the CIO and executive leadership to align the data roadmap with corporate growth goals.
  • Manage financial budgeting (CapEx/OpEx) for data platforms and oversee strategic vendor and software relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of progressive information technology experience required.
  • 5 years in a senior leadership role within a mid-to-large organization preferred.
  • Proven experience implementing large-scale cloud data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and event-driven architectures.
  • Demonstrated success establishing data governance and master data management programs.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise data architecture, modern cloud data platforms, integration tools, customer data platforms, application programming interfaces, and data governance.
  • Strong strategic planning, financial management, vendor management, and delivery prioritization skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear business value.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and align enterprise data strategy with business goals.
  • Strong leadership and talent-development skills, with the ability to build and guide multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Ability to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality data and integration solutions across the organization.
