Job description

Job Title: Senior Specialist, AI Trust & Data Governance
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled AI Security & Governance Specialist to lead the secure adoption of AI-enabled tools across our enterprise ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the governance frameworks and technical guardrails that protect sensitive data within a Microsoft 365 environment. You will bridge the gap between emerging AI capabilities and corporate security requirements by configuring robust data protection policies, managing classification labels, and monitoring risk posture. The ideal candidate is an expert in Microsoft Purview who can translate complex regulatory and security needs into actionable business guidance.
Key Responsibilities
• Governance Framework Development: Define and operate enterprise-level AI governance frameworks, establishing the "rules of engagement" for AI workloads and generative AI tools.
• Data Protection & Policy Management: Configure and manage advanced Microsoft Purview policies, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, retention protocols, and comprehensive audit controls.
• Risk Monitoring & Remediation: Continually assess AI-related data risks, such as oversharing and data leakage. Identify compliance gaps and drive cross-functional remediation efforts.
• Audit & Regulatory Support: Support privacy reviews and security assessments by producing accurate, evidence-ready documentation to meet internal and external audit requirements.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Privacy, and IT teams to ensure that AI adoption remains compliant with evolving global regulations and internal security standards.
• Technical Advocacy: Translate technical security requirements into clear, business-level guidance to ensure stakeholders understand the "safety-first" approach to AI.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Technical Mastery:
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (eDiscovery, DLP, and data retention) in a large-scale M365 environment.
• Deep knowledge of M365 data flows across SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
• Security & Compliance Background:
• Proven track record in data governance, policy development, and security monitoring.
• Experience navigating complex audit and regulatory landscapes.
• Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate technical risk concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Preferred Experience:
• Governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar LLM-integrated tools in a production setting.
• Familiarity with automation and reporting via PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, or KQL. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans
