Job description

Mayvin is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst who will assist in developing strategies that align with the United States Marshals Service (USMS) mission priorities. This position also leads efforts to improve data discoverability, interoperability, and responsible data sharing.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must be able to undergo and pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate development and execution of enterprise data governance strategies while advising senior executives on data policy, risk, and modernization priorities
  • Develop and support frameworks for data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and enterprise data catalog capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with federal data mandates, including evidence-based policymaking and open data requirements, while supporting public data release strategies
  • Facilitate implementation of enterprise data governance policies, standards, and procedures, including data retention, archiving, and disposal
  • Ensure enterprise data assets are discoverable, accessible, and protected through appropriate access controls

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Management, Information Systems, Public Administration, Business)
  • Minimum nine (9) years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise data strategy
  • Strong understanding of federal data laws, regulations, and mandates (e.g., open data, evidencebased policymaking)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks, standards, or policies
  • Experience advising senior leaders on data policy, risk, compliance, or modernization initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise metadata management, data catalog tools, or data lineage practices
  • Background supporting federal agencies, including experience with crossagency data sharing or interoperability efforts
