Overview

The Loan Maintenance Clerk I will perform maintenance on loans including general maintenance, ordering coupons, posting payments, special payments, and payoffs. This is an entry level position to a minimum of one year loan servicing experience.

Responsibilities
    Post special payments, mail-in payments, payoffs, and payment extensions
  • Perform maintenance on loans, including general maintenance, ordering coupons, posting rejects, auto-draft/ACH set-up, and due date changes
  • Research issues/errors
  • Perform rate changes as needed
  • Make name and address changes as request by customers or branch personnel
  • Prepare past due notices, loan statements, collection letters, and other notices for outgoing mail
  • Assist the balancing clerk with research on items not cleared
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous loan servicing experience, preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of FIS/IBS loan system
  • Good knowledge of credit terminology
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Ability to use a 10-key calculator with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as copier, fax, and other basic office equipment
  • Basic computer skills to include Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills in order to provide adequate customer service and support for branch personnel
  • Good organizational skills
