Job description

Receive the drivers who arrive with the documents and merchandise to be delivered to the client, assign them a door for unloading, register their arrival, create a reference to the merchandise, print labels and pass information to the forklift coordinator for the unloading of the material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet the driver, ask for the reason for the visit and the documentation.
  • Assign a dock for unloading.
  • Located load ID in the activity log (AL) and write it down on the bill of lading (BOL)
  • Select the date and time of arrival on the activity log.
  • Verify if there is an existing entry for Inbond loads.
  • Enter the arrival for each provider on the quick entry (QE) screen.
  • Print all labels for each provider/reference.
  • Create a work order (WO) for the start and end load time of the forklift driver.
  • Access AS400 to adjust as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training & Experience):
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS: No specific licenses or certifications are required. However, relevant certifications will be considered as part of the qualifications and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to take and follow directions from supervisor.
  • Ability to give directions to drivers.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use computer hardware, various software programs and technologies, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.
  • Required to comply with all IMPERATIVE's policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed inside an office working closely with others and alone with light traveling required. Work involves rotating shifts and working extended workdays outside the regular working hours; Work requires simple grasping, standing, sitting, and walking. Ability to see, write, count, read, identify shade of colors, and hearing is needed to perform essential functions.
