Familiarity with data management systems, spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, and sometimes basic database tools is typically required. Outstanding organizational skills, time management, and reliability set top performers apart in this role. A good typing speed for data entry positions is typically around 40 to 60 words per minute (WPM). Data Entry roles often require maintaining a high words-per-minute (WPM) typing speed while ensuring accuracy. Employers often provide training sessions and support to help team members meet or exceed WPM targets without sacrificing data quality.
