E2 Consulting Engineers, LP (E2) is a professional services firm established in 1988 specializing in a full spectrum of engineering services including, project engineering and design, federal base operations and infrastructure support services, gas pipeline construction and inspection services, environmental consulting and remediation, and information technology services. The Data Entry Clerk will support our Utility Client for a dynamic and growing professional services group that primarily involves scanning, indexing, and archiving documentation to be stored in the Client’s repository.  This position will work on assigned projects and must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team on assigned tasks under tight deadlines.

 


  • Review and prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information received from project administrators.
  • Resolve questions and errors by using standard procedures to work with team leaders on incomplete documents for resolution.
  • Establish entry priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on Client deadlines and compliance dates.
  • Digitize field documentation by means of a scanner.
  • Perform data entry of information transcribed on the field documentation.
  • Upload/archive field documentation into Client systems.
  • Perform indexing of the data on the field documentation for ease of lookup and file searches.
  • Retrieve and/or deliver documentation from nearby Client offices as requested.
  • Verify entered data is correct through downloads and excel spreadsheets and make any corrections if necessary.
  • Saves files for record keeping including marking duplicates or corrected files to record data and revisions.
  • Enter and maintain new unit tables for existing and new projects.
  • Review invoice backup to ensure that all items requested by client are included.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Data entry experience or related office experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Intermediate computer experience and aptitude.
  • Intermediate experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Client Office: 100% of the time (this job requires being on-site at the Client office 8 hrs/day, Monday through Friday).
  • Most of the time will be spent in a professional office environment and using standard office equipment, such as computers and phones.
  • Bending, sitting standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours per day.
