The Space Data & BIM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating space data, drawings and BIM workflows across projects. The role ensures that BIM and data strategies are effectively executed at the project level, enabling consistent, accurate, and efficient delivery for both internal teams and clients.


This individual must have an organized approach to problem solving, the architectural expertise to build system drawing/publishing standards, the skills to develop processes, best practices and provide guidance to internal teams related to architectural geometry and aptitude to identify client risks and data discrepancies.


The Coordinator will work collaboratively with our Atmys team (60%), the BIM Manager & Project Teams (40%).

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities


Space Data & Drawing Management

  • Own the collection, validation, and standardization of architectural drawings and space data
  • Maintain accurate digital representations of buildings and spaces
  • Identify & resolve discrepancies in drawings and datasets
  • Manage publishing workflows into IWMS platforms
  • Perform audits and generate reports related to space and occupancy
  • Translate client needs into technical workflows
  • Communicate status updates to team and client on a regular basis
  • Align project deliverables to align with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Define, document, and manage processes to implement drawing management for new clients in IWMS software
  • Define and develop audit procedures for drawing quality based on internal needs or in accordance with clients’ statements of work; address discrepancies as needed
  • Document processes and maintain resources
  • Support training efforts


BIM Coordination & Implementation

  • Apply and reinforce BIM standards, templates, and workflows established
  • Administer BIM model management, BIM Execution Plans, and Level of Development Plans
  • Support effective use of programs such as Revit, BIM360, Dynamo, design visualization tools (e.g., Escape, Rhino, Bluebeam), and others
  • Coordinate model setup, organization, and data consistency
  • Monitor model health and escalate issues as needed
  • Troubleshoot BIM related challenges and support project teams
  • Manage Revit, including add-ins, deployments, implementation, standards, customizations, best practices, family creation, training, support, and metrics
  • Create and assist in creating content and resources for Revit and related applications
  • Assist in development and maintenance of Revit content
  • Document workflows and maintain internal resources
  • Support training efforts and respond to internal support resources

Qualifications and Skills


· Understanding of architectural drawings, data structures and geometry elements

· Ability to multi-task with attention to detail

· Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills

· Experience applying BIM standards and workflows

· Understanding of space data standards such as BOMA

· Knowledge of FGI guidelines a plus

· Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project or other project and product management tools a plus

Experience and Educational Requirements


· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field, or equivalent experience

· 3+ years of related experience with AutoCAD and Revit experience

· In depth knowledge of BIM versions

Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 based on relevant years of experience

Physical Requirements


Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
