Your Main Focus:

The Procurement Data Entry Clerk supports the purchasing and procurement department by ensuring accurate and timely entry of data related to product orders, supplier invoices, and inventory records. This role plays a critical part in maintaining precise purchasing information, supporting vendor relationships, rail, and ensuring compliance with company policies and union requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced beer distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter purchase orders, invoices, credits, and pricing updates into the procurement system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of supplier information for orders, receiving, rail, OTR, and team tracking and measuring metrics.
  • Assist in reconciling discrepancies between purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Support Procurement Manager in preparing reports on purchasing trends, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
  • Monitor product availability, backorders, and substitutions in coordination with suppliers.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order status, delivery timelines, and corrections to paperwork.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, and accounting teams to ensure alignment on inventory, deliveries, and invoice payments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, union regulations, and safety standards.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and maintaining digital and physical procurement records.
  • Support other administrative and clerical functions within the procurement department as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of data entry, administrative, or procurement-related experience (beverage or distribution industry a plus).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and procurement/ERP software.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a unionized environment.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with vendors, internal departments, and union staff.

Hourly Salary $24.00 - $26.00 per hour It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
