Work Shift:

Second Shift - Somersworth (United States of America)

Work Shift Time:

3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Job Objective: Operate a Tenter Frame, rotating, learning and mastering duties from front end to back end of equipment, to perform and maintain a continuous process environment. Perform minor machine maintenance and move material between designated work areas. Maintain quality and productivity standards and a clean work area. Accurately complete all paperwork necessary to this operation and perform other related duties as directed. Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Job Functions: Operate and maintain a continuous process environment while operating all required front and back end functions of the Tenter Frame. Perform preventative minor maintenance. Sew material into a continuous form and mix and apply proper adhesive. Set the width of frame, heat, and line speed. Occasionally calculate add-on weight. Set up slitters for final put up. Label and move finished product to Shipping. Occasionally cross train on jobs requiring similar skills. Perform other related duties as directed.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Required: Two years of production machine operator experience. Ability to read and interpret, written instructions, to accurately complete basic paperwork and to perform data entry. Proficiency in basic math and use of a calculator. Ability to read a ruler and dial gauge and operate small weight scale. Hazardous Communications, Lockout / Tagout and Fork Lift certification or certification obtained within 30 days. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to self pace learning including book, web- base and classroom participation. High School diploma or equivalent.
Desired: Previous textile experience. Certification in Training the Trainer and the desire to be a trainer.
