Colson Group USA is seeking an Assembly Operator. This General Assembly position is needed to support the Assembly Supervisor by producing components and assembling parts and subassemblies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Duties:
  • Order material based on current jobs
  • Perform minor machine set and verifications
  • Assemble product based on BOM, work instructions and job travelers
  • Verify product conformance to specification(s)
  • Keep assigned areas neat and orderly

  • Operate basic hands tools
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to follow written and oral instruction* This position is 2nd shift from 2pm to 12:30 am Monday through Friday. The wage listed includes a $2 per hour shift premium. The standard starting wage listed is $19.85 + shift premium.
