Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Position Summary:

The Credentialing Coordinator helps to complete provider credentialing/re-credentialing/privileging, peer review activities and provides support for quality activities throughout the organization. The Credentialing Coordinator will help to coordinate peer review, privileging, and credentialing functions.

Position Requirements:

  • Must possess excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word
  • High School Diploma required
  • Basic clerical and computer skills
  • Ability to perform complex and varied tasks in a fast-paced work environment subject to stress and interruption
  • High level of attention to detail and follow up on assignments

Essential Functions (Responsibilities/Accountabilities):

  1. Demonstrates accuracy in data entry, taking minutes, filing, compiling reports, and other duties.
  2. Consistently demonstrates the ability to coordinate a series of requests with accuracy and flexibility to adjust work in response to deadlines.
  3. Interacts with department, other facility departments, clients, and providers in a courteous and positive manner.
  4. Assists in preparation of credentialing packets and functions.
  5. Attends meetings and prepares formal minutes for assigned medical staff meetings.
  6. Assists in data gathering projects as assigned.
  7. Accurately completes data collection and entry.
  8. Assists with Joint Commission/IDPH/other survey agencies preparation, survey, and follow up activities.
  9. Assists in coordinating peer review activities.
  10. Organizes and coordinates Medical Staff activities (Mid-level Oversight Monitoring, IRCCO Provider List Updates, Survey Solutions Updates, etc)
  11. Monitor/renew provider licenses, certifications, and collaborative agreements.
  12. Coordinates Annual Privilege list reviews and updates.
  13. Coordinates external provider verifications.
  14. Tracks required provider vaccinations.
  15. Follows all policies and procedures established by HH. Maintains confidentiality of departmental work.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital’s goals and objectives.

Pay Range:

Pay ranges from $21.351 to 34.161 per hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)
