PAY RATE: $14.29 Hourly (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Summary:
Performs a variety of functions in the daily operations of the Eagle Community Center Food Pantry. Provides support to the Manager and Food Pantry Coordinator.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Serves as an assistant in the daily functions of operating the Eagle Food Pantry. Assist with participant registration, data entry, and distribution records. Provide reports as needed. 50%

  • Assist with food ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory levels in the pantry. Follow all policies for proper food handling, transportation and storage. Responsible for all pantry deliveries and product pick-up. 40%

  • Participates in the planning and executing of the annual Hunger Walk, food drives, events, and food education. Provides support and training to pantry volunteers. Assists other McCreary food pantries and CAP food pantries as needed. 10%

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Years of Experience:
Less than 1 year of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience
Certifications and Licensure:
Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required
CAP Driving Certification* (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) Required
*In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
Load crate/box on 27 inch shelf with 3 bags 16 lbs each and 1 bag 17 lb
Lift 65 lbs occasionally and place on 5 inch shelf.
Push pallet jack with 50 lbs of force a distance of 50 ft
Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
Step up/down from an 18" step
Push mop
Pull a garage door down with 45 lbs of force and pull upward from ground at 38 lbs of force
Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
Have good hearing capabilities
