The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Manages the daily operation of assigned sectors of the University's Parking department. Supervises the day-to day performance of staff assigned to a variety of essential posts. Organizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors the daily work of assigned parking staff. Facilitates regularly scheduled operational briefings, and other staff meetings . Ensures that all safety requirements are met, and conducts accident or injury investigations.

  • Mon - Fri 11am-7:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Organizes schedules and assigns work on a daily basis to ensure efficiency and operational performance. Issues daily operational briefings to keep all staff current on any changes to policy or procedure and makes them aware of any special events or disruptions to operations. Conducts monthly staff meetings.
  • Manages staff performance, including spot checking various assigned work/posts. Investigates attendance, performance, and other work rule infractions and issues appropriate discipline following University policy. Works closely with trainers, reporting observations of both good and poor technique and/or operation. Works closely with all staff in assigned sector to further direct performance.
  • Assists staff and other departments to ensure quality service and fulfillment of department service obligations. Works closely with the patrons, both external and internal, to resolve customer service issues. Interviews and hires candidates for employment by the University's Parking department. Ensures a consistent Safety Culture throughout the locations that incorporate operations and emphasizes the team approach and individual responsibility of all employees to achieve common goals. Ensures safety regulations are being observed.
  • Performs necessary operations duties. Ensures accident and injury investigations are in compliance with University and department regulations. Conducts lot usage surveys and analyze for staffing needs. Oversees cash handling, including closing procedures, fund prep, distribution, reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies. Responsible for maintaining and ordering supplies to meet operational needs. Assists with and oversees parking and department equipment use and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma and less than 1 year of experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication required
  • Knowledge of data entry, ability to work with mainframe and computer applications and programs preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State with clean records and no more than 3 points upon hire required
  • Drug test (due to driving vehicles) upon hire required
  • Nonphysical with Hep B shot due to customer/patient contact upon hire required
