The Role
The Mailing Data Specialist is responsible for transforming raw client data into high-performing, postal-compliant mailing campaigns. You will leverage the full power of Postal Software to maximize postage discounts and ensure precision in every mail drop.
Essential Functions
  • Data Formatting: Map and format data for variable data printing (VDP) and inkjet addressing.
  • Postal Processing: Use Postalsoft for CASS™ certification, NCOA™ updates, and merge/purge operations.
  • Presorting: Perform complex presorts for various mail classes to secure maximum postage discounts.
  • Documentation: Generate required USPS documentation and Mail.dat files for electronic submission.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Service and Production to ensure data integrity and meet project timelines.
  • Growth: Maintain technical expertise by attending continuing education and software workshops to keep us at the forefront of mailing technology.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Excel, Windows, and DOS.
  • Professionalism, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management.
Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of direct experience using Postalsoft or similar software.
  • Proven experience in data cleansing, de-duplication, and formatting.
  • Solid understanding of USPS regulations (First Class, Marketing Mail, Periodicals, etc.).
  • Postal Certification (e.g., USPS Mail Design Professional).
