JOB SUMMARY
This position will support the Human Resources team with daily administrative tasks and various HR initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and data management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assists with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Supports the onboarding process by preparing employee orientation materials, conducting background checks, and coordinating new hire activities.
  • Maintains and updates employee records in the HR system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assists with drafting and mailing various notices to employees.
  • Helps with organizing employee training sessions, workshops, and HR-related events.
  • Leads special HR projects and research initiatives as assigned.
  • Assists in responding to employee inquiries and provides administrative support to the HR team as needed.
  • Performs general clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or administrative experience is a plus, but not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Skill in the operation of standard office machines, including computer-driven data entry equipment.
  • Skill in communicating, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines
  • Ability to research program documents and to compile reports from information gathered.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
  • Ability to perform various administrative tasks and assignments to support the development of public programming.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
