Job description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Order Entry / Data Entry Clerk for an established manufacturing company in Northwest Houston.

This is a full-time, onsite position supporting daily Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing operations. The person in this role will be responsible for accurately entering customer orders and quotations, maintaining records, preparing documentation, assisting customers, and helping ensure information is processed correctly and on time.

We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, dependable, comfortable with computers, and able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with previous experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, warehouse offices, order processing, or customer support are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and process customer orders, quotations, invoices, and related documentation
  • Review information for accuracy before entering it into company systems
  • Maintain accurate customer, order, and sales records
  • Assist with order processing and documentation from beginning to completion
  • Provide administrative support to Sales and Manufacturing departments
  • Communicate professionally with customers by phone and email
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Update spreadsheets and internal records
  • Scan, file, organize, and maintain documentation
  • Assist with purchase orders and other business paperwork as needed
  • Coordinate information between office and manufacturing personnel
  • Handle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization
  • Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in data entry, order entry, office administration, customer service, sales support, or a related position preferred
  • Previous experience entering orders, quotes, invoices, purchase orders, shipping documents, or other business records strongly preferred
  • Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, warehouse-office, parts, logistics, or similar experience is a plus
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, CRM, inventory, or order-processing systems is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional phone and email communication
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, onsite manufacturing environment
  • Willing and able to learn new software and internal systems
