About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Emissions Data Associate to support environmental and emissions accounting projects. The primary responsibility will be organizing, reviewing, and updating large Excel-based emissions calculation databases. This role is ideal for someone who is highly proficient in Excel, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to follow established methodologies accurately.


Responsibilities

  • Navigate and manage complex Excel workbooks containing emissions factors and calculation data.
  • Clean, organize, and validate large datasets.
  • Perform data entry and quality assurance checks.
  • Update emissions calculation databases based on provided instructions.
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or duplicate records.
  • Use Excel formulas, filters, pivot tables, and lookups to analyze data.
  • Document changes and maintain clear records of data updates.
  • Assist senior analysts with emissions calculations and reporting tasks.
  • Conduct basic research to source and verify environmental data when needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
