Job description

A Medical Assistant, is responsible for assisting Doctors and Nurses in providing care to their patients. Their duties include recording and updating medical histories, contact information in patient files, scheduling patient appointments and performing standard care procedures like drawing blood, checking vitals or collecting lab samples. Assists the provider in an effort to provide the highest quality of medical care in as productive and efficient manner as possible. Must understand the mechanics of the clinic and how the job interrelates with the other clinic teams to meet the goals of the clinic of offering "good patient care". Deals with a variety of patient instructions and must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Experience preferred.
