Job Description

I. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Director Clinical Integration, he/she is responsible for data gathering and data entry from the various clinical systems to support quality and incentive initiatives for Abington Health Physicians. The Data Integrity Audit Representative will assist with the collection, input and physician review of clinical data into 3rd party software systems while maintaining confidential and systematic compilation of clinical information for a specific cohort of patients.

II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make Abington - Jefferson Health (AJH) the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees.

Responsible for accurately identifying and collecting comprehensive medical record data including diagnosis codes ICD9/ICD10 from associated software.

In a systematic manner ensures accuracy & completeness of clinical data entered into 3rd party software. Provides necessary clinical information and missing coding information to practitioners to facilitate review and verification of data prior to submission.

Effectively communicates (oral and written) and collaborates with the physician and other health care providers to support the submission and tracking of incentive payments to the organization.

Meets productivity goals in the designated timeframe to ensure project timeline adherence.

Participates in continuing education activities to enhance professional growth and development.

Performs other duties as assigned.

III. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Experience:
Minimum 1 year patient related medical office or hospital experience required.
B. Education & Training:
High School Graduation or GED required. MOA, Nursing Student, or LPN preferred.
C. License, Certification & Registration:
Valid Driver's License
D. Other Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple tasks. Must be detail oriented. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new software programs. Knowledge of Medical terminology and computer skills required. Current auto insurance with proof of coverage required. Must possess a driving record free from major violations within the past five years, and maintain an acceptable driving record with no major violations in accordance with Motor Vehicle Regulations and Abington - Jefferson Health's auto insurance policy. Any and all major violations incurred must be immediately reported to the manager, department head, or Human Resources department.
