JOB SUMMARY
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department and serves as a primary point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors. This position is responsible for front desk operations, general employee assistance, onboarding and orientation support, HRIS data entry, employee records, departmental events, and other transactional HR activities. The HR Assistant works collaboratively across all areas of Human Resources to ensure timely, accurate, and professional service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
§ High school diploma or equivalent, required
§ Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
§ One year of administrative, office, customer service, human resources, or related experience preferred.
§ Experience working with HR information systems, electronic records, or other business systems preferred.

§ Serve as the primary front desk representative for Human Resources, greeting and assisting employees, applicants, and visitors.
§ Answer incoming HR telephone calls, respond to routine inquiries, take messages, and route questions to the appropriate HR team member.
§ Monitor and assist with the HR shared inbox and route requests to the appropriate team member.
§ Receive, sort, and distribute departmental mail and correspondence.
§ Provide administrative support for all new employee orientation activities, including scheduling, preparation of materials and follow-up activities.
§ Support onboarding activities and ensure required new-hire information and documentation are collected and processed.
§ Enter and maintain employee and new-hire information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
§ Scan, upload, and maintain employee documents and records within appropriate HR systems and electronic files.
§ Assist with employment verifications, reference requests, background checks, licensure verification, and other routine employment documentation as needed.
§ Print and coordinate employee identification badges and other new-hire materials.
§ Provide administrative and logistical support for HR-sponsored events and initiatives, including scheduling rooms, preparing materials, coordinating supplies, communicating with participants, and assisting with event setup and execution.
§ Assist with employee recognition activities, retirement celebrations, workforce events, career fairs, and other HR-sponsored programs as assigned.
§ Provide administrative and transactional support to HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Development, and other HR functions as needed.
§ Maintain HR forms, documents, employee resources, and departmental materials.
§ Assist with routine reports, data entry, audits, and special projects.
§ Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and employee service.
§ Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
