Records Evaluator
Job Description
  • Responsible for the maintenance of education records and the entry of courses during registrations.
  • Process education related documents which include change of records (name, addresses, etc.) and the end-of-term processes.
  • Submit electronic enrollment and degree files to the National Student Clearinghouse.
  • Evaluate academic credits and enters transfer of credits for transferring students.
  • Process adjustments to students' class schedule, including drop/adds, withdrawals from courses and from the University.
  • Provide assistance to facilitate the implementation of the registration process.
  • Provide service/assistance to walk-in clients, and if necessary, direct them appropriately and professionally.
  • Remain abreast changes in the academic programs as well as the University catalog. Enter data into the Banner System.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between the Office of Student Records/University Registrar and the department of Information Technology (IT).
  • Generate reports related to academic standing, enrollment, withdrawals and retention.
  • Prepare information for diplomas for graduating seniors and approved candidates.
  • File education records/documents.
  • Respond to individual student registration needs.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of three years prior administrative experience is required.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications and experience in student information systems (especially Banner).
  • Must maintain strict adherence to FERPA and the confidential handing of sensitive data and records.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and balance a broad variety of priorities.
  • Considerable knowledge of general office techniques and record keeping. General comprehensive planning skills desirable.
  • Ability to work extended hours and handle multiple tasks. Ability to stay on task to ensure completion.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree preferred.
