Location: 100% Remote (US-based)
Job Type: Part-time / As Needed
Hours: 10–20 hours per week (Variable, highly flexible)
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly meticulous Remote Part-Time (As-Needed) Appraisal Proofreader with at least two years of experience to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced editor looking to supplement their income with a flexible schedule of 10–20 hours per week, depending on report volume. You will review comprehensive commercial real estate valuation reports for accuracy, formatting, grammar, and completeness on an as-needed basis. This position ensures our documents meet strict institutional lending and regulatory standards before final delivery.Key Responsibilities
  • Proofread Reports: Review 50-to-150-page commercial appraisal documents for typos, grammar, punctuation, and formatting inconsistencies.
  • Verify Math: Cross-check numbers, rent rolls, and financial tables across text and appendices for mathematical consistency.
  • Ensure Compliance: Confirm that all charts, maps, property photos, and legal disclosures are properly included in report packages.
  • Collaborate: Communicate professionally with appraisers via email or team chat to request missing information or clarify data discrepancies.
  • Finalize Delivery: Format, optimize, and assemble final PDF reports using Adobe Acrobat under tight daily lending deadlines.

 Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in proofreading, editing, heavy data entry, or administrative support. Experience in commercial real estate, legal, or mortgage banking is highly preferred.
  • Availability: Flexible to work 10–20 hours per week as project volumes fluctuate.
