Schedule: M-F 8a-5p
This is a remote position open to Missouri Residents only.
As a Discharge Technician, you'll play an important role behind the scenes, supporting accurate and timely electronic health record (EHR) closure, data quality, reporting, and process improvement. You'll work across departments to help ensure information flows smoothly during client transitions and discharges while supporting the organization's commitment to quality and operational excellence.

This is a great opportunity for someone who: enjoys working with data and technology, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and is motivated by finding ways to make processes more effective. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across a mission-driven nonprofit organization and contribute to systems that support accessible, high-quality healthcare in rural communities.
  • Monitor and close accounts/charts in the electronic health record.
  • Support smooth communication and information sharing across departments during transitions and discharges.
  • Review data and identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
  • Track incomplete documentation and communicate through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Create and maintain reports using Excel and/or Power BI.
  • Perform data entry, data review, and data scrubbing to support data quality and accuracy.
  • High School/GED required
  • Associate's degree in computer applications or related field preferred
  • At least two (2) years Excel experience required if high school/GED is the highest degree obtained
  • Knowledge of electronic health records preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite and strong understanding of relational databases preferred
