Job description


This position provides comprehensive wellness screening services, including blood pressure, body measurements, phlebotomy, and bone density screenings. The role is responsible for accurately documenting results, processing specimens, educating patients on findings, and coordinating follow-up when needed. The position also supports health fairs and community wellness events, maintains screening equipment, and helps promote preventive health and overall well-being.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Phlebotomy experience or certification preferred. Excellent communication skills. Proficient in computer skills, as well as typing, word processing, billing, and data entry. Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a variety of people. Ability to work in stressful situations and concentrate when interrupted. Ensure confidentiality of highly sensitive, personal health information. Analytical skills to compare lab reports to health risk assessments. Acute attention to detail. High level of interpersonal skills needed to effectively coordinate programs for a variety of audiences. Aware of HIPPA guidelines, processes, & coordinates release of information. Work using safety protective measures to ensure personal and others safety. Able to follow and carry out anaphylaxis protocol, safe transport of oxygen tanks, and monitoring vaccinations. Articulate and explain results and procedures in a coherent manner to participants.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED, higher education desired. Possess clinical knowledge of physiology and anatomy. Experience in medical field, computer data entry, and customer service experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current driver's license required; phlebotomy certification preferred. BLS certification required within two months of employment.
