Receiving Clerk


Location: Danbury, CT

Pay range: $55,000 – $65,000 per year

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Danbury, CT. This position is responsible for supporting daily receiving, shipping, inventory, and warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments for postal and commercial carriers.
  • Select appropriate packaging and ensure products are packed securely for safe delivery.
  • Prepare bills of lading and shipping documentation.
  • Process customer returns and perform material sampling as required.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving records and support database updates and reporting.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts.
  • Assist with inventory control and material handling activities.
  • Support housekeeping and warehouse organization initiatives.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Less than one year of related shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to calculate shipping costs, maintain records, and complete routine paperwork.
  • Understanding of weights, measures, and inventory processes.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • CDL license is a plus.
